Office Season 5 Premiere Parties!

NBC.com today announced that fans of "The Office" will be hosting premiere parties in 26 cities across the nation. The parties originated and were organized through Dunder Mifflin Infinity (www.dundermifflininfinity.com), the social network site for "The Office" fans on NBC.com. The announcement was made by Vivi Zigler, President, NBC Universal Digital Entertainment.

"It's wonderful to see the fans of 'The Office' use NBC.com's social networking capabilities in fun and unique ways," said Zigler. "This is really just the beginning of what can happen when fans, technology and creativity come together like they have with 'The Office' and Dunder Mifflin Infinity."

The idea of hosting premiere viewing parties came from a Dunder Mifflin Infinity fan in Philadelphia, PA who wanted to organize a local party in conjunction with the local NBC affiliate. The idea quickly grew into events nation-wide when NBC.com informed other Dunder Mifflin Infinity fans about the party and encouraged others to host parties in their own cities as well. To help the organizers, NBC.com is supplying party packs to the first 50 established parties. Once all of the participating "branches" have been identified, NBC.com will work with the local affiliates in those areas. Party participants can post pictures and video from their parties on NBC.com.

Dwight's Zoning Dilemma

Dwight is having some problems with Wayne County officials. You see, he wants to build a moat around Schrute Farms, but they won't let him. Jerks. Read all about it at Schrute-Space on NBC.com.

"Ask Angela"

"Ask Angela" has been updated and includes answers to one of my most burning questions: Who won the Baby Pool? For that answer, and a few more (you can even submit your own questions!), visit the Adventures with Angela space at NBC.com.

"Office" Spinoff is Reality!!

It's April 2nd - so this can't be a joke. NBC released the following information:

NEW YORK – April 2, 2008 --NBC announced today that the most coveted time period of the coming season, the post Super Bowl slot, will be used to launch a spinoff of the network's hit comedy series, "The Office." Immediately following NBC Sports' coverage of Super Bowl XLIII, the network will first present an original episode of "The Office," followed by the debut of the new Greg Daniels comedy. The Super Bowl has been perennially the biggest television event of the broadcast season and was watched this year by a total audience of more than 148 million viewers. Giving this new series that coveted premiere slot will afford the show tremendous sampling from all demographic groups.

Greg Daniels, Executive Producer of "The Office," said, "Who would have ever thought that Americans would be subjected to a mock-documentary after the Superbowl? What has happened to this country?"

From Greg Daniels, the Executive Producer of the Emmy Award-winning American version of NBC's "The Office," comes the most highly anticipated comedy of the season in "The Office" spinoff. Audiences will follow another comic journey, complete with new faces and new locations, but with the same unique sense of humor and brand of quality from Daniels and his creative team. It's the next chapter of what viewers have come to know and love about "The Office."

In response to an evolving media marketplace and the changing needs of its advertisers, NBC Universal has created a more innovative, client-centric approach to its traditional Upfront presentation. It will include the announcement of a year-round programming schedule in April; a series of one-on-one client meetings in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago; and a spotlight event on May 12 that will showcase the full scale of the NBCU offerings in a unique, multi-media, interactive environment that will allow advertisers to experience the broad spectrum of marketing opportunities available within the company. The new Upfront process allows NBCU to continue its "customer-first" approach, while working to create new advertising models, define more effective metrics and provide a better return on its clients' investments.

Over 150,000 Dwight Schrute Bobbleheads Have Been Sold!

Even Dwight Schrute, Dunder Mifflin's #1 paper salesman from NBC's hit show "The Office," would be impressed with this sales performance. The NBC Universal Store has sold more than 150,000—and counting—Dwight Schrute Bobbleheads, modeled after the character portrayed by Rainn Wilson. Since hitting shelves in April 2006, the figure, whose nodding head features Dwight's signature glasses and haircut, has become the biggest seller in the eight-year history of the store.

In honor of this milestone, two very special bobbleheads autographed by Wilson will be available online for "The Office" fans to win. The first highly sought-after bobblehead, available on nbc.com/auctions, will go home with the highest bidder in an online auction. One hundred percent of the bobblehead auction's net proceeds will go to Wilson's charity of choice, the Mona Foundation, which supports children's education projects throughout the world. The item will be part of NBC's second live auction for fans to bid for exclusive props and memorabilia from other NBC Series, including "Heroes," "Friday Night Lights" and "30 Rock." The bidding begins on Monday, January 21, 2008, at 7 p.m. EST / 4 p.m. PST, with the gavel falling on Wednesday, January 30, 2008.

NBC Auctioning Off "The Office" Gear

Want to dress like Pam? How about Dwight?

NBC is allowing that and more as they auction off items worn by cast members and some props and other goodies. They even have a Dwight Schrute Bobblehead autographed by Rainn Wilson himself!

You can see the auction HERE. Be warned the NBC auction site seems to be having some issues, but every now and then it works.
