The Office Convention Ticket Prices!

Memo
To: All Employees
From: Dunder Mifflin Corporate Party Planning Committee
Date: September 21, 2007
Re: The Office Convention

Tickets on sale Tuesday, September 25 @ 10 A.M. EST.
Ticket sales will be here soon, and we want to give you all the information we have available. Again, we have a number of committed cast members, but we are still in the process of firming up the details. If your interest in The Office Convention is based purely on the participation of a particular cast member - hang tight!

The ticket levels you will see below represent our attempt to keep this convention as affordable as possible. The venues we will be utilizing throughout downtown Scranton have limited seating capacity and the ticket prices below are designed to give everyone an equal chance to see their favorite stars.

Throughout the weekend we will have a street festival (free and open to the public) featuring food, local vendors selling Scranton-related merchandise, the NBC Store, Office Olympics and two open-air stages offering a wide assortment of live entertainment. There will likely be a number of random cast sightings at the street festival and tons of other fun things to do. If you want to ensure a great The Office Convention experience, however, you'll want to sign up for a weekend pass. You will need an "Assistant to the Regional Manager" pass or higher to get into limited-admission cast appearances.

You'll be able to purchase your weekend passes here on the Web site and at limited local sales events that we plan to host in Scranton over the course of the next month. Once you've purchased tickets for The Office Convention, you will be given instructions on how to sign in at registration.

Registration will be located inside the Grand Ballroom of The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, October 26. Registration will move on Saturday and Sunday and be located next to the main stage at the street festival for those who are unable to make it to Scranton on Friday. If you plan to stay in Scranton and you haven't yet reserved a room, act fast! Rooms are going quickly, but if you check out a list of local hotels, you should still have no problem finding a place to stay close to Scranton.

Alright, here's the ticket info...

We've also been working feverishly with The Office producers and NBC to be sure that this will be an event we can all be proud of. We would like to thank NBC and local officials for their constant support and encouragement. We simply couldn't have gotten this far without them.

Stay tuned and get ready to reserve your weekend pass to a celebration of America's favorite comedy. This will be the mother of all Scranton parties!

Memo from Ryan Howard

It looks like I've been hired, now we wait and see what our jobs will be I think!

-------

TO: All New Dunder Mifflin Infinity Employees

FROM: Ryan Howard, Director of Dunder Mifflin Infinity

SUBJECT: Your life is about to change.

To All New DM Infinity Employees,

Welcome to the future of Dunder Mifflin. We're thrilled to have you aboard. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am, but that's mainly because our legal department has advised me not to do so. Instead, let me just say that the project we're all embarking on will change the paper industry. For the better.

By joining the Dunder Mifflin Infinity team, you have joined a movement. A movement that will sweep the nation. A movement that will shatter all of your preconceptions regarding how paper and office supplies are sold, distributed, catalogued, warehoused, and delivered. Dunder Mifflin Infinity was designed, by myself, as a means to topple the old guard. If my projections are correct, this project will make Dunder Mifflin more profitable than Exxon (in terms of comparative percentages). Aren't you glad you're here?

While the business model for DM Infinity is different, the principles of Dunder Mifflin remain the same. We are committed to excellence through serving our customers. Without customers, we are nothing. Although you will not be dealing with customers directly, you are responsible for conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times. Just as the physical branches in Akron, Albany, Buffalo, Camden, Nashua, Scranton, Utica, and Yonkers operate with the utmost degree of professionalism, you too will be a reflection of the Dunder Mifflin name. Treasure this. Live by this. You are an extension of the company. Do not let us down.

Dunder Mifflin Infinity is a unique opportunity. We are committed to excellence. Stay with us long enough and you'll want to be committed, too.

Ryan Howard
Director of Dunder Mifflin Infinity

Office Interview With...

... Craig Anton, Actor

Craig Anton is a regular on Disney's "Phil of the Future" and shows up often on Comedy Central's "Tom Goes To The Mayor". You may have also seen him in an episode of shows such as "King of Queens", "Boston Legal" or "Ally McBeal" among many others. However, we caught up with Craig to ask him about his guest role as Craig, the Albany Branch Manager, in the "Valentine's Day" episode of "The Office".

With "The Office" set to premiere a week from today, we are winding down our Office Universe Interview series and Craig was kind enough to share his TwoCents with us as a part of it!

Enjoy!

TwoCents: Could you tell TheTwoCents readers about yourself and how you started in "show biz"?
Craig Anton: I started doing theater as a kid in Omaha NE, then started working in a comedy club during high school with my pals. Did theater, stand up, sketch and magic and juggling thru college and then went on the road, moved to NYC, then out to LA. Never looked back, never stopped....can't stop.

Worst TV Bosses

You immediately think I'd be talking about Michael Scott right?

Nope - according to the Boston Herald, it's Jan Levinson!

That's right, Jan (played by Melora Hardin) is in the article!

"When it comes to bad bosses, the impish attitude of Dunder-Mifflin regional manager Michael Scott of “The Office” fame can’t compare to his over-sexed, now ex-boss Jan Levinson, according to MSN.com."

Bobby Ray Shafer, Bob Vance - Vance Refrigeration, has posted a new blog on his MySpace page.

It's a great read about his feelings on the Emmys!

Office To Be Download-able - Details!

NBC.com today announced the launch of its new service, "NBC Direct," which will allow users to download and view NBC's popular primetime and late-night entertainment programming on their desktops for up to one week after broadcast. This new feature provides yet another platform on which fans will be able to enjoy NBC Entertainment content. The announcement was made by Vivi Zigler, Executive Vice President, NBC Digital Entertainment.

"With the creation of this new service, we are acknowledging that now, more than ever, viewers want to be in control of how, when and where they consumer their favorite entertainment," said Zigler. "Not only does this feature give them more control, but it also gives them a higher quality video experience."

The first version of this new feature, which will begin beta testing in October, will allow users to download full length episodes for viewing on Windows based PCs. Each original episode will be licensed to users for viewing through "NBC Direct" for one week following broadcast and will then expire. The downloaded file will provide users with an improved overall viewing experience compared to traditional streaming video. The list of programs available at launch will include "Heroes," "The Office," "Life," "Bionic Woman," "30 Rock," "Friday Night Lights," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

Later in the beta launch, users will be provided the free subscription option that will allow them to pre-select their favorite NBC programs they want to watch. Those shows will be automatically delivered to their computers as soon as they are available after the original broadcast. The downloadable player will also have filtering technology, which will prevent it from playing any stolen copyrighted material.

Future versions of "NBC Direct," which will roll out over the next several months, will provide expanded platform functionality and will allow DRM ("digital rights management") protected versions of its programs to be downloaded to Macs and portable devices in addition to PCs. NBC.com plans future enhancements such as high-resolution versions of programming made available via a closed P2P ("peer to peer") distribution network. Using closed P2P will ensure that the maximum number of users will be able to view consistent, high-quality content directly from their desktops. Later in 2008, NBC.com plans to offer other business models for downloaded content in order to provide its users multiple options to consume their favorite NBC programs. These paid business models may include download-to-own, rental and subscription.

Well, college roots anyway!

Angela Kinsey went to Baylor University and the University has her featured in their semi-annual magazine now!

""Angela was a perky, outgoing, spontaneous person, not a grim control freak," he says. "Her nickname was ‘Junior Mint,' and her screenplay characters were always funny and irrepressible.""

Office Emmy Outfits

Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Rashida Jones, Mindy Kaling, Melora Hardin, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey and Brian Baumgartner.

Want to know what our favorite TV stars (no matter what the Emmy voters say) looked like last night at the Emmys? Here ya go! Click on the pics for bigger ones.<

2007 Emmy Results.

Ok, so I left feeling very bummed.

Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, Steve Carell and the show all lost their respective awards. However we didn't leave empty handed.

Jenna, John Krasinski and Rainn's video clips about Steve before Steve presented an award were a highlight. Rainn with Kanye West was funny. One of my favorite moments of the whole show was Steve running on to the stage where Steve Colbert and Jon Stewart were waiting to give him the award that Ricky Gervais won!

AND - the show did win an Emmy! Greg Daniels won for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for his script of "Gay With Hunt"!

Congrats Greg!!!
