This week Michael, Pam, and Ryan are back. Michael has a meeting and invites everyone to say whatever they want, but basically he wants everyone who didn’t follow him to his new company to grovel in forgiveness. The staff is upset that Pam and Ryan are coming back as salespeople and that they’re keeping the clients they stole.

ReplyDeleteIn the cold open, Kevin brings in an enormous pot of chili. Apparently, he likes to do this once every year and he slaves over this chili. So, yeah, the elevator is out, as you would expect, so Kevin hauls this huge pot up the stairs to the office and proceeds to trip and spill it all over the floor. In typical Kevin fashion he starts scooping it back into the pot with a clipboard. They don’t tell us whether or not anyone ate that chili later. I hope not.
Casual Fridays have been reinstated and Angela hysterically complains to Toby about Oscar’s feet.
Dwight writes a memo for the old office staff in invisible ink (urine) to meet him in the warehouse. Dwight wants to stage a coup or hostage situation to “take care” of Pam and Ryan. Jim suggests they just speak to Michael directly, but that’s apparently a bad idea. Jim goes to Michael himself.
Ryan suggests that Michael go down and crack some skulls, Chiklis style. But Shield Chiklis, not Commish Chiklis.
Michael confronts the mutinous crew about their whereabouts and they lie, badly, that they were out to lunch. So Michael and Pam and Ryan go in to the fridge and proceed to eat what those folks had brought for lunch that day. Ew.
Meredith takes casual Friday a little too far with a short tube dress. She flashes a boob and pretty much everything else. The pixilation saves us the horror.
Andy, Dwight, Phyllis, and Stanley threaten to quit and start their own paper company unless they get their clients back. Phyllis says that Michael thought he was hurting corporate by quitting but he really hurt the office.
Michael has Dwight arrange a secret meeting so that he can apologize. They group just wants their clients back. Michael gives them back and now he can only keep either Ryan or Pam on in sales. Michael calls Pam into his office and tells her he’s giving the sales job to Ryan. Psych! He gives it to Pam. That’s the second time he’s fake fired Pam. Michael has Pam send in Erin the receptionist. He tells her that no one likes her and they’re firing her. Only Erin really isn’t fired and Michael doesn’t know if anyone likes her.
Not the best episode, but it’s nice to see them get back on track. The whole Michael leaving thing had me worried for awhile there. The Office just wouldn’t be The Office without Michael in charge. What’d you think? Leave a comment and let us know!
