Toby is back from Costa Rica (yay!) and to commemorate the occasion, Michael yells “NO!” loudly and copiously. 1. Toby is back from Costa Rica (yay!) and to commemorate the occasion, Michael yells “NO!” loudly and copiously. Apparently, Toby has been back for a week but Michael didn’t notice since he doesn’t go in the back part of the office since that’s where Holly used to work. Michael complains to David Wallace, but David is having none of Michael’s whining.

Michael tries to be nice to Toby, but is just incapable of being civil to him. Michael then brainstorms with Dwight on ways to get Toby fired. He passes Pam a note to read to Toby that instructs Toby to kiss her no matter how she struggles so that he’ll “sexually harass” her. When Pam refuses, Michael throws Toby’s Costa Rica pictures on the floor to try and provoke Toby to hit Michael.

Dwight has the bright idea to frame Toby for drug use. Michael is completely on board, and even buys drugs from the Vance Refrigeration employees. They dupe Michael into paying $500 for what ends up being a caprese salad. Dwight calls the cops and they search Toby’s desk only to find the baggie of a Vance Refrigeration employee’s lunch.

So Pam’s back too and the first thing she has to tackle is a nasty mess in the microwave. She leaves a harshly worded note on the appliance which everyone but Angela finds obnoxious. No one is ‘fessing up to making the mess, but Ryan tries to dupe Pam into cleaning the microwave. Her response? “It’s a good thing we have a temp, then”, however, Ryan evades so he can go break up with Kelly. But they just got back together, you say? Yeah, but Ryan’s going to Thailand with some high school friends and he manages to get some sex and some spending money out of Kelly before he calls it kaput with her.

So Jim’s bought his parents old house, the house he grew up in, but hasn’t told Pam about it yet. After work, he takes her to see the house. When he does finally cop to buying it, Pam looks confused. But Jim, being the sweetheart he is, has made plans to remodel the inside and has already started converting the garage into an art studio for Pam. Pam’s still looking flabbergasted and Jim starts apologizing for having gotten into this without her knowledge but Pam says she loves it.

Well, she loves everything except a hideous clown painting Jim’s parents apparently welded to the wall. Also, Pam doesn’t want to sleep in Mr. and Mrs. Halpert’s old room.

Last scene of the episode is Dwight telling a convoluted story of his perfect crime which involves him breaking into Tiffany’s, stealing the chandelier, having sex with the owner’s daughter who happens to be Tiffany herself, making a love child with Tiffany and then standing Tiffany up in Paris to hide the chandelier in Berlin. Um, ok, Dwight. Freak.

What’d you think? Can you wait for Jim and Pam to get married and have lots of floppy haired babies? Would you love to know who made the microwave mess? Leave a comment with clues!

  2. I want to know if Pam is actually happy about the house. And I actually miss the Jim-Pam tension...

I am sure Michael probably made the mess in the microwave doing something stupid.
