The Families' Thoughts - Business Ethics

In Season 4's episode entitled "Chair Model" we were introduced to the "Five Families" of the Scranton Business Park. Michael Scott is the representative from Dunder Mifflin and he is joined by Bob Vance of Vance Refrigeration, Paul "Cool Guy" Faust of Disaster Kits Limited, W.B. Jones of W.B. Jones Heating and Cooling and Bill Cress of Cress Tool and Dye.

As we continue in Season 5, we are always looking for people to share their Two Cents about episodes of The Office, and who better to give an insight about the workers at Dunder Mifflin than the other heads of the Five Families?

So, without further ado, we present the thoughts of the men who run the Scranton Business Park, sent in directly from them.

Cress' Convo: Meridith's actions were not "over the line". The only ethics dilemma is: Did her actions make money or cost the company money? They saved the company money, ergo, no dilemma. What sort of idiots run that company, anyway?

Vance's View: 'BUSINESS ETHICS' are everything at VANCE REFRIGERATION, or my name is not BOB VANCE, VANCE REFRIGERATION.
I try not to be surprised by the shenanigans at DM Scranton, but then I have to listen to them all the time over dinner with Phyllis. One time I almost choked to death on a TATER-TOT when she was telling me about Scott, and as for MEREDITH, if I find one more EMPTY GIN BOTTLE OR PANTIES left in the back of one of my refrigeration trucks, I might have to teach some ethics myself courtesy of my USMC Special Op's days.
Sincerely,
BOB VANCE, VANCE REFRIGERATION

Cool Guy Paul's Cool Thoughts: In response to last weeks episode I have expanded my product line at Disaster Kits LLC. to include paper, envelopes and pretty much everything else that Dunder Mifflin sells. I am hoping that someone can tell Meredith that I now have these items and I am open to price "negotiations".

W.B. Jones' Grade A Badass Review: The more I see of these Dunder Mifflin people the more I'm beginning to appreciate their real talents. I always knew Dwight was a company man but now Meredith goes above and beyond just to keep the Hammermill supplies expense under plan. It's encouraging to know corporate supports and promotes her efforts. Her talents are especially needed this week with the stock market crash and credit crunch, she still has 'em eating steak baby!

I wonder if I can lure her over to WB Jones Heating and Air...........

We have to thank the men BEHIND the men behind Scranton - Bobby Ray Shafer (Bob Vance), Paul Faust (Cool Guy Paul), Barry Sigismondi (W.B. Jones) and Terrence Beasor (Bill Cress) for their amazing willingness to share with us and all the Dunderheads out there!

  1. I think you're really on to something good with this, and I hope it becomes a regular feature at the Scranton Branch Office.

These guys are funny, and they deserve an ongoing outlet. For example, Bob Vance almost choking on a Tater Tot... I can't explain why, but that's just brilliant.
